Massimo Ambrosini hit back at Jose Mourinho through an official note on the Rossoneri's website.
Yesterday's statement from Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini, who said he hoped Inter coach Jose Mourinho would be forced to regret saying that the Rossoneri would end the season with no trophies, has sparked yet another war of words involving the Portuguese coach.
Mourinho replied that Ambrosini does not have the moral authority to make such claims, as he reminded the midfielder of when he displayed an offensive banner aimed at Inter after the Rossoneri won the Champions League in 2007, shortly after the Nerazzurri captured the Scudetto.
The coach said that Ambrosini never apologised for this, which was not taken lightly by the 31-year-old, and he replied to the coach with a note on Milan's official website.

"I am surprised and embittered by how Mourinho, who's usually precise in his verbal communication, commented with such superficiality on my declarations of yesterday, which were not at all meant to create polemics or provoke, and I absolutely do not accept morality lessons from this man when, two days after the episode of the banner, I apologized to Inter's players and fans.
"I showed the kind of moral values which he, with little attention or knowledge of the facts, put in doubt."
Although the Scudetto race seems settled on the pitch, with Inter seven points clear with five games to go, the war of words looks set to drag on.
