Arsene Wenger last night blasted referee Mike Dean for costing 10-man Arsenal victory at White Hart Lane.
The furious Gunners boss claimed villain of the piece Emmanuel Eboue had a 14th-minute effort wrongly disallowed for an "illusion" of a foul.
Eboue last night apologised after being sent off but Wenger claimed he did not see the foul for a second yellow card in the 37th minute.
Wenger said: "We had the best chances, we scored a regular goal that was cancelled out by an illusionary foul seen only by the referee. I've seen it two times and I still do not know why it was disallowed.
"He saw a push from Eboue, but it is Woodgate who pushes him and stumbles over Adebayor and falls down. It's nothing. It's not acceptable in games like that.

"I believe we had a resilient, committed attitude and I'm proud of our attitude during the 90 minutes, but it's two points dropped."
Wenger also refused to blame Eboue for his bad discipline after he was sent off for two yellows - dissent and then a retaliatory foul on Luka Modric. "The first yellow card was very harsh," said Wenger.
Eboue said: "I am sorry. I am so disappointed."
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp mocked Wenger's claim Arsenal were the better team. He said: "I must have been at a different game. I thought I saw Tottenham dominate."
In a futher blow for Wenger, striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been ruled out for three weeks with a hamstring injury meaning he will miss the Champions League tie with Roma.
