LONDON, Feb 5 - Manchester City defender Micah Richards has been arrested on suspicion of assault after an incident outside a nightclub in northwest England, police said on Thursday.Richards, 20, was detained after going to a police station by appointment on Wednesday.

He was questioned over an allegation of assault outside a nightclub in Hale, in the south of the city, on Christmas Eve.
A club spokesman told the Manchester Evening News that Richards "vigorously denies any involvement".
