Patrik Berger has risked antagonising Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill again by claiming Gareth Barry is still likely to join Liverpool.
Former Anfield ace Berger, 35, was bombed out of Villa last May for publicly advising Barry to join the Reds.
But Barry, 28, remained at Villa Park after Rafa Benitez failed with four bids for the £18million-rated star.

Berger, now at Slavia Prague, said: "Gareth was Liverpool's main target last year and he has had another great season. I think Liverpool will still probably want him.
"If Villa get into the Champions League then Gareth has said he will stay but, if not, then we will see in the summer."
Liverpool play Villa at Anfield on Sunday.
