Harry Redknapp faces a fight to convince Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to sign Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Real Madrid are prepared to sell the 33-year-old striker for £1.25m but Levy has major misgivings about buying the injury-prone former Manchester United star, who would command wages of £80,000 a week.
