Cristiano Ronaldo revealed Manchester United's biggest fear is drawing Bayern Munich in today's Champions League draw - not old rivals Liverpool.

Liverpool have become the team to avoid in Europe after their 5-0 aggregate demolition of Real Madrid, which they followed by hammering United 4-1 at Old Trafford.

But ahead of today's quarterfinal draw, Ronaldo claimed it is German champs Bayern - who thrashed his old club Sporting Lisbon 12-1 on aggregate in the last round - who United fear most.

"Bayern are very strong," he said. "I watched them play Sporting and I was very sad because I didn't expect my old team to lose so heavily.

"Bayern have mature players, strong players, quick players - Franck Ribery and Miroslav Klose are very impressive. They play like a team and look very difficult to beat."

"They have a good chance to win the Champions League.

They are a very tough team and you have to respect them."

United remain on course for a unique haul of five trophies. Fergie's men are hoping to add the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup to the Carling Cup and Club World Cup.

Despite Fergie's claim that the Quintuple cannot be done because of the amount of luck needed to scoop all five trophies, Ronaldo said United's players feel it is possible.

"We're positive about all the competitions we're involved in and we want to win them all," said Ronaldo.

"The Champions League is completely different to the Premier League in which we have to respect all the teams because it's such a long season.

"In the Champions League, it's different. If you lose you go home straightaway, so it's a more nervous game when you play, with more immediate pressure."
