Germany defender Arne Friedrich will be out for two weeks and will miss the upcoming two 2010 World Cup qualifiers after he picked up a thigh injury in Hertha Berlin's 2-0 defeat against Stuttgart, the German soccer federation (DFB) said.
Germany coach Joachim Loew has already seen midfielder Torsten Frings and striker Miroslav Klose drop out of the squad with injuries.
