Howard Believes Manchester United Will Bounce Back

English Premier League:

Everton shot-stopper Tim Howard, who was the club's penalty shoot-out hero last weekend as the Toffees secured their route to the FA Cup final after disposing of Manchester United, believes that his former club will be fine following their semi-final exit.

The 30-year-old American international today told The Sun how he was expecting a reaction from Sir Alex Ferguson's men, and had words of warning for United's future opposition in both the Premier League and the Champions League as, he feels, they should be "feared".

"United will be fine," he said.

Regarding the possibility of the reigning domestic and European double-winners retaining their major honours, Howard added, "I think they’ll go on to win the League and the Champions League because they're a great team and a great club.

"Everyone should be fearful of them," he warned.

"There's a mystique about the club and an aura about the place. They'll absolutely go on to do good things."

Everton travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea on Wednesday evening in a key Premier League clash that is also an FA Cup final rehearsal. Kick-off is at 20:00 BST.
