Harry Redknapp sends Tottenham into their rumble on the Humber with Hull tonight after setting them a target of five wins to stay up.

Spurs boss Redknapp has warned his squad they are playing for their places at Wembley next Sunday when they take on the Tigers at the KC Stadium.

Tottenham will move five points clear of the drop zone if they warm up for the Carling Cup Final against Manchester United with only their third away win of the season. Redknapp said: "I think five wins will be enough now - 40 points wouldn't be a problem.

You do all the permutations in your head, and five wins in the last 13 games should do it.

"I look at the squad here and and we have some quality players who shouldn't be in this position, but we had a horrendous start - two points from eight games - and that was always going to be a problem.

"But with Robbie Keane, Wilson Palacios, and Luka Modric, we look stronger.

"They are all playing for places at Wembley, and Hull won't be easy."

It is the start of a hectic week for both sides.

On Thursday, Spurs take on Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Cup while Hull host Sheffield United in an FA Cup replay less than 48 hours before a Premier League clash at home to Blackburn.

Spurs have an extra day to recover from their European exertions before taking on United at Wembley in the Carling Cup, which they won last year.
