Chelsea Ace Lampard Warns England Against Complacency

Frank Lampard aims to take nothing for granted as England take on Kazakhstan in Almaty this Saturday.

With Fabio Capello looking truly in control of the England squad, the Three Lions look set to keep their place at the top of Group 6. However, Chelsea star Frank Lampard has issued a warning to the England camp regarding complacency when facing lower rated teams such as Kazakhstan.

Lampard claims that he is aware of the high work rate of Kazakhstan in the wake of their last encounter at Wembley, and hopes that his team-mates can do a better job this time around.

"We know when we played them at Wembley that we were not at our best, and they put us under some pressure and had a high work rate," fifa.com quote the midfielder as saying.

"We have watched the rerun of the Wembley game to refresh our minds about how we performed in that game.

"No doubt we will look at it again and we have to make sure we perform as well as we are capable of - and hopefully that will be good enough.

"We have come here early to acclimatise and over the next few days we will get used to conditions. The manager has sat us down already and explained the importance of the game. We know that as a squad anyway.

"Everyone is fit and fresh and, whether they have lost or won cup finals with their club teams, they are very focused."
