Luis Fabiano: Kaka Will Be Good For Spanish Football

The Sevilla striker believes that his fellow Selecao star should come to La Liga, even if it's to join the opposition.

Sevilla and Luis Fabiano may be one of Real Madrid’s fierce rivals in the Primera Division but the Brazilian hot-shot has backed his compatriot, Kaka, to come to the Santiago Bernabeu.

While the Milan playmaker’s presence at Los Blancos would undoubtedly strengthen the capital behemoths significantly, Fabiano isn’t worried about the competition as he believes that the move will be good for the player and the sport in Spain.

“Kaka, if he joins Real Madrid, will be very well received in Spain because his style of play would win everyone over. It would be good for Spanish football,” he was quoted as saying by La Republica.pe to local Brazilian media.

But any hopes of getting an insight from the Sevilla hitman about Kaka’s opinion on the transfer fell flat when he said, “I have not talked to Kaka about the subject. We will just have to wait for the ending and see if there is any truth to all the speculation.

“Any little news about Real Madrid tends to get blown out of proportion.”

Brazilian newspaper O Globo, like most of the press in Spain, believes that their superstar playmaker has all but sealed his switch to Madrid but the official announcement is only postponed till Monday to avoid any “political problems for Italian Prime Minister and Milan president, Silvio Berlusconi”.

Kaka and Luis Fabiano are both currently back in South America preparing for the resumption of the Selecao’s 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign.
