Manchester Boss Ferguson Will Not Alter Approach To Arsenal Tie

Sir Alex Ferguson can clinch the title with a point this weekend.

Manchester United are just one title shy from equaling north west neighbors Liverpool's total haul of 18. The league leaders have a chance to equal the record on Saturday, when just a solitary point will ensure that they will be mathematically impossible to catch.

The team that lie in their way are London club Arsenal and United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed that, despite being pitted against a "good" team, their approach to the game will not change.

The league leaders will be keen to secure the Premier League crown as their final game of the campaign is against Hull City, a side who could be fighting for their lives in the top division. That fixture is just three days before a Champions League final in Rome against Primera Division stars Barcelona. A rotation policy that week would therefore likely be favored.

"We will approach it [the Arsenal game] like we approach every match and try to win it," Ferguson explained to The Independent.

"We know how good a side they are and we will have to perform well."

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will be looking for a reaction from his Gunners after they suffered their worst ever home defeat in over three decades, Chelsea inflicting a case of the blues on the Ashburton Grove side with a 4-1 scoreline.

United will have an added incentive to perform as it will mean they will win the league title on home turf, something they have done just once since the inception of the Premier League.
